From a Greek island interior photo to product
When I work on creating paper jewellery I often go back to my own photo archive for inspiration. I like to use my photos to create a colour palette for my designs.
By pixelating a photo I extract the basic hues that make up the image. Then I go about choosing the exact colours I want to use by keeping those that work well together for my design and eliminating the rest.
A photo taken while on holiday in the Greek island of Santorini was the inspiration for this monochrome beaded necklace. The paper pulp beads are handmade by up cycling the literary pages of a glossy fashion magazine.
